I sat on cold, hard earth and felt the weight of their persona's beneath me. I had always sworn I would never let consciousness tower over consciousness, yet I sat with four minds pointed directly within my own, scanning my brain for gaps in mutuality. "What deteriorates the human relationship? At what point in gaining knowledge do we abandon the collective human emotive for more hollow ground?" The answer wasn't clear - it never was - but the question was enough. The sheer contemplation of the matter was, frankly, incredibly alarming and made me as uncomfortable as ever. "What makes up a friend? More importantly, when does a friend lose the qualities of a companion and abandon social relationships for the individual ego?"
